Welcome to WordCramble! WordCramble is a fast-paced word-guessing game where you form words from a set of scrambled letters to earn points, survive rounds, and climb the global leaderboards.

Objective

Your primary goal is to solve scrambled letter puzzles before the timer runs out.

⚠️ Crucial Rule: To qualify for the next round, you MUST solve at least ONE of the maximum-length words (the longest target word in the pool) before the timer expires. If time runs out without finding a maximum-length word, it’s Game Over!

Game Modes

Single Player (Solo): Play at your own pace against the clock.
Multiplayer: Join open multiplayer lobbies and compete alongside or against other players in real-time.

How to Play

Observe the Scrambled Letters: At the start of each round, a set of letters will be displayed on your screen.
Submit Your Words: Type your word guesses directly into the input box or game chat.
Instant Feedback:
- ✅ Correct Guess: Valid words will automatically be revealed and recorded. Correct guesses show up instantly in green!
- ❌ Incorrect / Duplicate: Words you've already found or invalid entries will be filtered out.
Advance to Next Round: Solve at least one max-length word before time expires to advance.

Scoring System

Points are awarded based on the length of each valid word you discover during the round:

Word Length	Points Awarded
3-Letter Word	3 Points
4-Letter Word	6 Points
5-Letter Word	9 Points
6-Letter Word	15 Points

Leaderboards

Lobby Leaderboard: This a temporary leaderboard within the lobby, it only show the scores of player's within the lobby.
Global Leaderboard: (For multiplayer only) This records the combined score of the player's within the lobby.

You compete with your friends within the lobby but you're actually joining forces to beat the Global Leaderboard.

Welcome to WordCramble. We take your privacy seriously, and we want to be completely open with you about how this game works and what information (if any) we collect. This policy is written in plain language — no legal jargon — so you can actually understand it.

Who We Are

What Information We Store

To let you play and save your progress, we store a small amount of information. Here's exactly what and why:

Your Display Name: The name you choose to show in the game. This is visible to other players in a lobby.
Your Game Progress: Your scores and round history, so we can show them on the leaderboard.
A Guest Token: If you play without signing up, a random code is saved in your browser to remember who you are. This never leaves your device unless you play online.
Account Credentials (if you sign up): Your username and an encrypted (scrambled) version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.

We do not collect your real name, phone number, location, or any sensitive personal information.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use your browser's built-in storage (called Local Storage) to remember your preferences — like your chosen color theme and whether you prefer dark mode. This data stays on your device and is not sent to any outside company.

We may also display advertisements to keep the game free. Our advertising partners may use cookies to show you relevant ads based on your browsing habits. You can opt out through your browser settings or tools like the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page.

Do We Share Your Information?

We do not sell your information to anyone. Here are the only cases where your data might be shared:

Leaderboards: Your display name and score are shown publicly on the leaderboard if you rank high enough. If you don't want to appear, simply don't sign up for an account.
Ad Networks: Our advertising partners may receive anonymized data to serve ads. They do not receive your username, scores, or any personally identifying information from us directly.
Legal Requirements: If we are ever required by law to share information, we will do so — but this has never happened and we hope it never will.

Your Rights & Control

Delete your data: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by logging out and clearing your browser storage, or by contacting us directly at inquiry@wordcramble.com.
Change your name: You can update your display name at any time from the account settings.
Play anonymously: You can play as a guest without creating an account. Guest data is only stored locally on your device.

Children's Privacy

WordCramble is a family-friendly word game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at inquiry@wordcramble.com and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check back occasionally.

By playing WordCramble, you agree to the following rules and terms. Don't worry — they're straightforward and written in plain language. Basically, just be a good sport and enjoy the game!

Using the Game

WordCramble is free to play and is provided "as-is." We work hard to keep it running smoothly, but we can't guarantee the game will be available 100% of the time.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Younger players are welcome to play as guests with a parent or guardian's permission.
You are responsible for keeping your account password safe. Don't share it with anyone.

Fair Play Rules

We want everyone to have a fun and fair experience. Because of this, the following are not allowed:

Cheating or using bots: Don't use automated programs or scripts to play the game for you or to find answers. It takes the fun away for everyone.
Abusive behavior: Don't use your display name or any in-game text to harass, insult, or be rude to other players.
Trying to break the game: Don't attempt to hack, exploit bugs, or interfere with the game's servers or other players' sessions. If you find a bug, please report it to us instead — we genuinely appreciate it!
Impersonating others: Don't choose a display name that is meant to trick people into thinking you are someone else.

Leaderboards & Scores

Your display name and score may appear publicly on the leaderboard. By playing online, you agree to this.
We reserve the right to remove scores from the leaderboard if we believe they were achieved by cheating or exploiting the game.
Leaderboard positions may change as other players improve their scores. We don't guarantee any specific rank.

Your Account

Your account and its associated scores belong to you, but the WordCramble service itself belongs to us.
We may suspend or remove accounts that repeatedly violate these terms.
If you forget your password and haven't linked a recovery method, we may not be able to restore your account. Keep your login details safe!

Advertising

WordCramble is a free game supported by advertisements. By using the game, you agree that ads may be displayed. We try to keep ads as unobtrusive as possible. Ad content is managed by third-party networks and does not represent the views of WordCramble.

Limitation of Responsibility

WordCramble is provided for entertainment purposes. We are not responsible for any losses or issues that arise from playing the game, including (but not limited to) lost scores due to technical issues, game downtime, or account access problems. We will always do our best to help, but we cannot make guarantees.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. When we do, we'll update the date at the top. Continuing to play after changes means you agree to the updated terms.
